Cincinnati Radiologists

A radiologist is a doctor that specializes in the use of body imaging techniques in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.  In addition to the standard medical training that is required to become a doctor, radiologists must go through an additional four to six years of training to be certified in this field, depending on the subspecialty they are planning on going into.  There are numerous areas of focus in the field of radiology, mainly depending on the specific type of body imaging the radiologist plans on specializing in or the areas of the body they plan on focusing their attention on.  Many radiologists commonly specialize in the taking and interpretation of MRI images, for example.  They will normally receive training in these field during their fellowship training, which is a period of professional training radiologists go through in order to become board certified in radiology.
